Symptoms
During the database part of the Content Studio installation the
installation fails and will be terminated.
Cause
Content Studio is developed against Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and due to
changes in the behaviour in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 some of the database code
has been incompatible.
Resolution
Content Studio starting with version 4.0 build 1010 will support SQL
Server 2005 and can be installed using that version. The Content Studio
development team has tested Content Studio against the beta version of SQL
Server 2005 released in June 2005 ( June 2005 CTP). However we do
not recommend any customers to upgrade their database servers for
production environments until the release version of the new database engine
(scheduled in November 2005).
Status
Content Studio ver. 4.0 build 1010 and later will fully support the
SQL Server 2005 on its release data on 7:th November
2005
